John C. Rahn, 75, of Durand died September 14, 2022, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born November 30, 1946, in Freeport; son of Chester and Elizabeth (Salisbury) Rahn. Graduate of Freeport High School. He obtained his technical degree in computer repair from DeVry University. John served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. United in marriage to Barbara Lamphier on December 9, 1967, at Court Street United Methodist Church in Rockford.
He was the absolute best dad, husband, grandpa and great grandpa anyone could ask for and will be greatly missed by his family.
Visitation on Monday, September 19, 2022, from 11 am to 12 pm, followed by a funeral service at 12 pm at Grace Funeral & Cremation Services, 4301 N. Main St. Rockford. John's nephew, Chris Van Raalte and son-in-law, Jon Schulz will officiate. Interment in Lanark Cemetery, Lanark, IL. Share a memory or condolence at www.graceFH.com.
