On the 19th day of February last, Susannah Blanton, departed this life, at their residence in Oglethorpe Co. GA., in her 71st year of age.
The daughter of John Davis, whose residence in the city of Dublin in Ireland, in which place she was born, April 29, 1774. Her father came to New York, and brought his family with him when she was only about two years old.
Here he held office in the British army, until the close of the revolutionary war. He then with many others, fled to Nova Scotia. He returned to New York.
On July 30, 1795 she married William Swaunbourn, a sea faring man who died about one year after their marriage. On September 14, 1797, she was married Solomon Rountree and moved to GA. And, on July 8, 1811, she married the Rev. Benjamin Blanton.
