Azalee married Thomas Henry Williams in 1857 in Hickman County. Their children were: Christopher, Thomas Henry Jr, Ida, Sarah Martha (Mollie), Cora, Griff, Arthur, Louella, Jenny, Isaac, Laura, Bosie and Major Franklin. Between 1880 and 1889 Azalee and Thomas packed up their unmarried children, wagons, and livestock and headed for north Texas. While crossing a swollen river, one of the wagons overturned, dumping son Kit and one of his brothers (possibly Griff) into the river. They were able to save Kit but after two or three days of searching, the family continued their journey without finding the other child's body.
Their destination was the Montague and Cooke County area where at least one of Thomas's brothers had settled. They purchased a farm in Cooke County and remained for a few years. Then Azalee, Thomas, and Mollie re-located to Okfuskee County in Indian Territory (Oklahoma). Thomas purchased another farm and worked it for several years. By 1920 Azalee, Thomas and Mollie had moved into the town of Okemah to live with their daughter Cora. Only a couple of weeks after the 1920 census was taken, Azalee died in Okemah.
