Mrs. Marion (Matilda Minnie Rebecca) Boyer, 83, of Decatur, died at 5 p.m. Sunday (July 21) in Decatur and Macon County Hospital following an illness of three days.

Mrs. Boyer was born June 27, 1885 in Indiana, the daughter of George Casper and Anna Tepe Streich. She married Marion F. Boyer on June 1, 1912, in Macon County, IL. He died in May 1942. She moved to Decatur from Warrensburg 10 years ago. Mrs. Boyer was affiliated with the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. John A. (Helen) Samples of Decatur; Mrs. Grace Fenton of Clinton; Mrs. George (Bonnie) Lynch of Pittsfield; Mrs. Oscar (Flossie) Bechtel, Kenney; Mrs. Vern (Ruby Opal) Danison of Cisco and Mrs. Melvin (Dorothy Louise) Semelka of Decatur; a son, Wilbert Marion Boyer, of Decatur; brother, John F. Streich of Warrensburg; a sister, Mrs. Viola Koons of Maroa; 20 granchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the J. J. Moran & Sons Funeral Home, with burial in Illini Cemetery. Friends may call in the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
