James Clifton Lewis, 63, of Gulfport, Mississippi died Saturday, January 13, 2001, at the Veterans Hospital in Biloxi, Mississippi. He was born December 2, 1937 in Drakes Creek, Arkansas the son of Noble and Edith Sisemore Lewis. Mr. Lewis was a graduate of Huntsville High School, past minister of the Bethel Heights Baptist Church, and a dry wall hanger. He was a family man who enjoyed his family, friends, traveling, and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Lewis of Gulfport, Mississippi; a son, Bradley Lewis of Fayetteville, Arkansas; a daughter, Elizabeth Cook of Washington State; a step-son, Michael Boydstun of Fayetteville; a step-daughter, Scherra Moss of Fayetteville; three granddaughters, Nicole Cook, Lauren Cook, and Mary Katherine Holmberg; two grandsons, Clayton James Lewis and Montana Lewis; and a great-grandson, Zhon Capwell Myler; two sisters, Lee Ora Smith and Shirley A. Ramey, both of Fayetteville.
Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 16, 2001 at the Bluff Cemetery in Springdale, Arkansas with the Rev. Johnny Sisemore officiating.
