Mr. Richard Wayne Daughtry, age 61, of Winnfield, La., passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at his residence in Winnfield, La.

He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Mr. Daughtry was also a Charter Member of the Winn Jaycees and a member of the Wednesday Night Tupperware Gang. Mr. Daughtry was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was employed by the Winn Rock Quarry for 18 years and was a salesman at P.K. Smith Motors of Winnfield for 20 years.

He was the son of the late Rabun Wilson Daughtry and the late Dorothy Cecile (Lolan) Daughtry. Mr. Daughtry was also preceded in death by his nephew, Brad Daughtry.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Katherine (DeSelle) Daughtry of Winnfield, La.; Two Sons, Raymond Daughtry and wife Rebecca of Lufkin, Texas James Daughtry and wife Adrienne of Pineville, La. One Sister, Linda Robertson of Winnfield, La. Three Brothers, Jack Daughtry of Alexandria, La. Joe Daughtry of Bossier City, La. Max Daughtry of Winnfield, La. Two grandchildren, Maisie and Geneva Daughtry Numerous Nieces and Nephews

A Rosary was held at Southern Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 4:30 PM for his church family. Funeral services were held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church at 11:00 AM Thursday, April 3, 2008 , Fr. Chad Partain and Fr. Christian officiated. Interment followed at Garden Of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield, La.
