He was well known for his dry wit and sense of humor, and his great love for all children. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Nancy L. Adams.
Survivors include his daughter, Ann Creel and husband Edward of Monroe, LA; son, Temple P. Adams, Jr. and wife Pat of St. James, MO; sister, Ruby Laprairie of Winnsboro, LA; four grandchildren, Celeste Berlien, Joe Adams, Eddie Creel, and Amy Shelten; three special great grandsons, Matthew and John Berlien, and Daniel Shelten; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be nephews and deacons of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home.
