Mr. Hagan was originally from Bulloch County and was a retired schoolbus driver and farmer. he was amember of Goloid Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.
Funeral sevices were held at four o'clock on Thursday afternoon, May 31, at Goloid Baptist Church. the Reverend W.B. Hoats and The Reverend Roy Hayes officiated and burial was in Goloid Cemetery.
Grandsons served as active pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers were Harlan Royal, Ned Hawbaker, Bernard Joyner, Allen Mixson, Harold Rowell, Littleton Bragg, T.J. Moore, Lamar Joyner, George Lee and Jimmy Evans.
Mr. Hagan is survived by his wife, Mrs. Palmer "Pam" Freeman Hagan, of Sylvania; three daughters, Mrs. Jacqueline Bazemore, of Chester, Virginia, Mrs. Alma Rita Wiggins and Mrs. Helen Stephens, both of Statesboro; three sons, Donald Hagan and Wendell Hagan, both of Sylvania and John R. Hagan, of Statesboro; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret H. Hendrix and Mrs. Annie Mae Lastinger, both of Statesboro; one brother, Louis L. Hagan, of Statesboro; eighteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund at Goloid Baptist Church.
