Surviving are two sons: Larry E. of Newry and Cloyd W. "Bill" Jr. and wife, Karen, of Williamstown, N.J.; two daughters: Phyllis A. Schultz and husband, Ron, of Tipton and Linda L. Parson and husband, Robert, of Altoona; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grand daughter; five brothers: Ken, Robert, Harold, Lester and Russell; and a sister, Florence Shoup. He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Phylleenna Pacovsky; two brothers: Dean and Donald; and two sisters: Madeline Goshen and Dorothy Whetstine.
He attended Carson Valley Church of the Brethren.
Mr. Shultz retired as an electrician from Conrail with more than 40 years of service.
He was an Army veteran of WWII from Dec. 15, 1942, to Jan. 25, 1946, having served in the Philippines. Received: Army Good Conduct Medal, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, American Theater Service Medal, Victory Medal, and Asiatic-Pacific Theater Medal with Bronze Star.
Mr. Shultz enjoyed fishing and pinochle.
Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona (www.stevensmortuary.com). A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Stevens Memorial Chapel by Pastor Bradley Runkle. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville, PA.
