Son of William Comfort & Eleanor Cardwell Whitsett Comfort. His first wife was Eliza Love Durham and second he married her sister, Georgia B. Durham. He was a Druggist in Kosciusko, Mississippi. The remaining children listed were the children of D. B. and Georgia Durham Comfort. However, there are several of the children who are not listed -- James George Comfort, 11 Aug. 1870 - 18 July 1938; Hugh Alexander Comfort, 6 Aug. 1880 -24 May 1928; and Eugene Chambliss Comfort, 17 Sept. 1883 - 22 Jan. 1958.

The first two "children" listed were not Daniel Benjamin Comfort's children. They were the children of D. B.'s brother, David Comfort. Mary Eleanor Comfort Leonard and Eliza Love Comfort were the children of D. B.'s first wife, Eliza Love Durham.
