Mary Francis Jackson, 77, 936 S. School Street, Washington, died at 1:40 pm on Thursday, August 12, 2004 at her daughter's home at 416 Carlock Ct. in Washington, IL. Born on October 25, 1926 in Warrensburg, IL to Frank and Florence Mae Boughn Binkley, she married Joseph Lillington Jackson on December 29, 1955 in Chicago, IL. He died on October 31, 1975 in Raleigh, NC.
Surviving are 1 daughter MaryJo "Missy" Jackson-Proctor (Roger Proctor) of Washington, IL, 2 sons Charles Jesse Jackson of Indianapolis, IN and Homer Proctor of Washington, IL and 2 grandsons.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Frank Binkley and George Binkley and 1 infant sister Rachel Joan.
She received a Master's Degree in Home Economics from the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL. She was a home economics teacher at Warrensburg-Latham Jr. high school for over 30 years. She also worked for the Chicago Meat Board from 1950-1955 where she did demonstrations and was in charge of public relations and product satisfaction.
Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded. Deiters Funeral Home in Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Family Consumer Science Dept. at Morton High School, co Sherry Hugh-banks 350 N. Illinois Morton, IL 61550.
