Grace Lanell Mayfield Adair-Allen (Nell) was born on December 7, 1935 to Viola and Eugene Mayfield in Whitehaven, TN. She lived to be 88 years old and resided in Huntsville, AL. Nell passed away peacefully to go home to be with the Lord on June 10, 2023. She lived a long wonderful life always gleaming about her family and friends. She graced this earth with such class and generosity. She had the most beautiful voice, she sounded like an angel when she would sing. She will always be known for how much she adored all of her family and friends.
Nell is predeceased by her parents Viola and Eugene Mayfield, two sisters Eugenia, Gladys, her brother Clarence Mayfield, and daughter Darlene Adair. She is survived by her son Richard Adair. His three children: Dustin Adair, Joy Adair Lamb, and Melody Adair. Grand son-in-law Joshua Lamb and grand daughter-in-law Abby Adair. She has four great grandchildren: Grace Lamb, Evelyn Lamb, Ryder Lamb, and London Lamb.
To honor Nell's memory, we are holding a celebration of her life at 2:00pm on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at Hampton Cove Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Hampton Cove Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00pm. We invite anyone who knew her to attend and remember her wonderful life.
