William W. Bellanger, 81, White Earth, Minn., died Saturday, Feb. 21, 1998, in St. Mary's Nursing Home, Detroit Lakes, Minn.
Mr. Bellanger, known as Toad, was born April 29, 1916, in White Earth, where he grew up and attended school. He served with the Civilian Conservation Corps. On June 15, 1939, he married Delia Roy in White Earth. They farmed in
White Earth, where he worked as a woodsman and operated a general salvage business. He lived in Mahnomen, before entering St. Mary's Nursing Home in 1997.
He is survived by his wife; five sons, Wayne (Sherri), Francis (Jeanne), Ronald (Rose), Darrell (Delia), Gordon, all White Earth; four daughters, Olivia (Jerry) Simmons, Moorhead, Eleanor (Herb) Sullivan, Minneapolis, Diane Madigan, Callaway, Minn., Betty Bellanger (Jim Towe), White Earth; three brothers, Donovan (Linda), Waubun, Minn., Darwin, Lowell (Marge), both White Earth; 32 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Today from 4 until the time of the service in St. Columba Episcopal Church, White Earth. Funeral: Tuesday at 2 in the church.
Burial: St. Columba Episcopal Church Cemetery, White Earth.
