Delia J. Roy was born July 26, 1920, in White Earth. She attended school in White Earth, Wahpeton, N.D., and Flandreau, S.D. She later graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a degree in social work. In 1938 she married William Bellanger in White Earth. She worked for many years as a home health aide and at the Circle of Life School in White Earth as a teacher and teacher's aide until she retired. Her husband preceded her in death.
She is survived by five sons, Wayne (Sherri), Francis (Jeanine), Ronald (Rose), Gordy (Joyce), all White Earth, Darrel (Delia), Elbow Lake Village,
Minn.; four daughters, Olivia (Jerry) Simmons, Moorhead, Eleanor (Franz) Carlson, Minneapolis, Diane (Sam) Madigan, Callaway, Minn., Betty (Jim) Bellanger, White Earth; 39 grandchildren and 41 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Beginning today at 4 in St. Columba Episcopal Church, White Earth, and continuing until the time of the funeral in the church.
Funeral: Wednesday at 2 in the church. Burial: St. Columba Episcopal Cemetery, White Earth.
