Dick was born in Braddock Heights, and at the time of his passing was living in Walkersville.

He was a member of the Frederick Church of the Brethren.

In his earlier years he was a farmer and livestock dealer. After retiring from the livestock business he opened Sunset Supply Hardware store in Libertytown, which he owned and managed for the past 21 years, until his death. Throughout his years in the hardware business he met and made many friends. Beside spending time at his store he enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed sharing life with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His favorite time of year was Christmas surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret; two daughters; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister; five half-sisters; and numerous sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and many friends who came to know him through the store. His jokes and story telling will be sorely missed by many.

He was preceded in death by a his parents, William and Hilda Whipp Angleberger; son George Angleberger Jr.; six half-brothers, Melvin, Albert, Emory, Charles, John and Carl Angleberger; and a half-sister Mary O'Brien.
