"Bud" Stuckey was divorced from Mary, and was living at Alex, OK when he passed away. Before he died, he asked his brother Jack to make sure he was buried next to their mother Nancy in Jack's family plot in the Alex Cemetery.

Obituary - Chickasha Daily Express, Chickasha, OK - "Funeral at Alex" - Rites were held in the Baptist church Monday, June 1, for John S. Stuckey, age 53, of Alex, who passed away suddenly due to a paralytic stroke. Deceased is survived by his widow, 5 sons and 2 daughters. Interment was in the Morris cemetery. Brown Funeral Home of Lindsay in charge.

Alex Tribune, Alex, Grady Co., OK, June 1936: "John S. Stuckey - Mr. John Stevens Stuckey passed away Sunday afternoon at the home of his sister, Mrs. P. A. Brawley, at the age of 54 years 11 months and 12 days. He suffered a stroke of paralysis Wednesday afternoon and gradually grew weaker until the end. John Stevens Stuckey was born June 12, 1882 at Montague, Tex, but at an early age came to Oklahoma and in 1924 he moved to Frederick, Okla. On April 15, 1906 he was united in marriage to Miss Mary Ruth Flanigan of Marietta, Okla. To this union seven children were born, Robert, Verdie, Cecil, Lillian, Marie, Louis and Jimmie, all living in Frederick and were present for the funeral services except Verdie who lives in Arizona. Since April 30, 1929 he has made his home in Alex with his sister. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday afternoon from the Missionary Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Crawford of Little Rock. Interment was made in Morris Cemetery.
