Funeral services for William Riley Littrell were held Monday at Ertel Funeral Home. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery. He was born on November 10, 1875 in Green Forest, Arkansas, the son of William Joseph and Mary Caroline (Walker) Littrell. He passed away on October 26, 1967 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 91 years, 11 months and 16 days. At the age of 13, he moved to Cedar Vale, Kansas in a covered wagon. He lived there until 1915 when he moved to Colorado and homesteaded in the Yellow Jacket community. He was united in marriage to Florence Margaret Gilliland on September 3, 1918. To this union four children were born, two sons and two daughters. A daughter, Mary Margaret Littrell, and a son, Clifford William Littrell, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Florence; his daughter, Edith Olivia Doyle of Spokane, Washington; his son, James Delbert Littrell of Spokane, Washington; his sister, Sarah Elizabeth Koonce of Iowa Park, Texas; and four grandchildren.
