Grace Allred Hart passed away July 25, 1995 at LDS Hospital. She was born in Weber County, Utah, August 7, 1912 to Hyrum Earl and Hannah Boman Allred. She was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Grace was fond of her family. She lived with her daughter, Susan, who cared for her faithfully the past few years. She worked throughout her life as a millinery manager for department stores in Spokane, Washington, and Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a highly skilled milliner. Her skills in designing and making fine women's hats and bridal head wear were in great demand. Grace retired from ZCMI in 1988; however, she continued to be active until arthritis took its toll on her physical body. Her spirit was always strong and she will be remembered by her family, who loved her very much, and her friends. She is survived by her son, Jack (Pamela) Hart; daughter, Susan (Eldon) Young, both of Sandy; brother, D. Earl Allred, Ft. Worth, Texas; sister, Peggy (Neil) Griffiths, Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by a sister, Lois Abrams, and her parents. Also surviving are six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services Friday, July 28, 1995, at 12 noon in the Goff Mortuary Chapel, 8090 So. State, where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
