Lawrence R. "Larry" Beccue, 73, of Decatur died 1:30 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 18, 1994).

Private family graveside services will be held in Maroa Cemetery. No visitation.

Mr. Beccue was born Jan. 4, 1921, in Greenview, the son of Albert & Minnie Johnson Beccue. He was a member of the VFW Post 99, American Legion Post 263 of Lincoln and Moose Lodge 684. He married Velma Meryman Streich on March 31, 1951.

Surviving are his wife; children, Jeanie Castor of Decatur; Carol Brown of Maroa; Edward "Butch" Beccue and wife Pamela of Delavan; two stepchildren; half sister, Vera Wilson of Lincoln; five grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; four great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two stepbrothers.

He was a retired farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
