The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart... Luke 6:45

Albert Ray "Skeeter" Biddix was born on October 10, 1940 in Altapass Orchard in Altapass, NC. He was the fourth of five sons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mose and Texie Biddix; his brothers, Gordon "Frosty" Biddix, Clifford Biddix, and Frank Biddix; and his wife of fifty-four years, Nancy Belle Edwards Biddix.

Albert was the first Eagle Scout in Altapass and was a life-long supporter of the Boy Scouts of America. He graduated from Harris High in 1958 and served in the U. S. Army from 1958-1961. He and Nancy moved to Asheville and he went to work for Southern Railway; he retired from Norfolk Southern in 2001.

Albert loved working outside, especially mowing lawns with his collection of lawn mowers. He loved animals and animals loved him! It was amazing to see how critters, seeming to sense his heart full of love, were drawn to him. He christened every person in his life with a nickname, which is one of the many ways he showed his affection. He got the most joy in his life from doing for others and, if you knew him, you loved him.

Albert stepped into his eternal home on January 10, 2022. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa Monique "Cricket" Keith and her husband, Andy Keith; two grandsons, Elvin Albert Keith and Canon Mose Keith; his youngest brother, Blaine Biddix; the nieces he adored; and his "faithful companion", his Blue Heeler, Quigley.
