Clifford V. Fritchley, 82, 1456 Buena Vista, Decatur, and formerly of Parkersburg, died Friday at 12:35 p.m. in St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur.

Services were held in Brentlinger's Pershing Funeral Home in Decatur. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the First Church of God in Decatur.

Mr. Fritchley was born in Parkersburg, the son of Jacob and Elizabeth Fritchely. He married Bernadine Clodfelter in 1922 and she survives. He was a retired railroad engineer and a member of the First Church of God. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge 509 of Parkersburg and Ansar Shrine, Springfield Consistory.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Donald (Carole) Greene, Decatur; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son; a daughter; a brother; a sister; and his parents.
