Master Alijah A. Rozier, age 9, of 2300 Vicky Ave. Columbus, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2008 in Columbus. Graveside services will be noon Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Evergreen Memory Gardens. The Rev. Preston Parker will officiate. Visitation will be today from noon until 7 pm according to Sconiers Funeral Home, 836 5th Ave. Columbus. Alijah was born August 11, 1998 in Tacoma, WA., the son of Arthur E. Rozier and Carmen Burton-Fitzgerald, he was a 4th grade student at Key Elementary in Columbus. He was active in the 4-H Club and a member of the Victory Independent Baptist Church. Survivors include his father, Arthur E. Rozier of Columbus, his mother, Carmen Burton-Fitzgerald of Merced, CA, paternal grandmother, Adrene Chatman of Columbus, maternal grandfather, Cornelius Burton of Kansas, MO and maternal grandmother, Francis Draper of Oakland, CA, three brothers, Arlando Wesseling, Bryce Burton and Bryan all of Merced, CA, six sisters, Carmen Wesseling, Cassandra Wesseling, Cheyenne Burton-Rozier , and Cheryl Burton all of Merced, CA, Tameka Rozier and Janice Rozier of Tacoma, WA, his god mother Shelia A. Jones of Columbus, aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends.
