CARTER - Funeral services for Charles E. Carter, 62, will be held Monday, July 29, 2002 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd. with Pastor Gordon Gunter of Life Evangelist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Long Branch Cemetery. Mr. Carter, a native of Clay Hill, Fla., and resident of Jacksonville, died on July 26, 2002. Preceded in death by his father, Ed Carter, sister, Chris Tillman and brothers, Allen and Wilber Carter. Survivors include his mother, Mattie Carter; sisters, Sadie Polk, Ann Myers and Dora Carter; brothers, Clayton, Russell and Randy Carter; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.
