Lorraine D. Marriott, 80, of Deerfield, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Faxton-St. Luke's Healthcare with her loving husband by her side.

She was born on December 15, 1941 in Utica, a daughter of Lawrence Sr. and Helen (Nowogrocki) Biernat. Lorraine graduated from TR Proctor High School, followed by St. Elizabeth School of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Lorraine was united in marriage to Joseph A. Gachowski, Jr. until his passing on November 15, 1994. On November 27, 1996, she was united in marriage to Stanley C. Marriott at Twin Ponds in New York Mills and shared a blessed union of 26 years. Lorraine was employed as an LPN in the maternity ward at St. Elizabeth and then as the head toy buyer for Tehan's in Utica.

She enjoyed making puzzles, cooking Polish food for everyone and going to garage sales. Lorraine's favorite time of the year was Christmas when she could watch her Hallmark Channel Christmas movies and display her collectable blue snowman. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and especially her beloved great grandson.

Surviving are her husband, Stanley; daughter, Mary Gachowski; son, Joseph III (Doreen) Gachowski all of Deerfield; granddaughter, Melissa (Justin) Rowland; great grandson, Joseph Rowland; brother, Larry Biernat and nephew, Robert (Jill) Clark; brother-in-law Richard (Karen) Marriott, nephew Matt (Brandy) Marriott; their children Colby, and Drew; nephew Derek (Jen) Marriott, their children Blake and Dylan; as well as a brother-in-law Ed LaBarge. She was predeceased by her sister, Darlene Clark, and a sister-in-law Geraldine LaBarge .

Lorraine's family wishes to thank their Tarlton neighbors and friends for all their wonderful care and compassion.

A graveside service for Lorraine will be held at St. Stanislaus and St. Casimir Cemetery, date and time will be announced at a later date.
