Pvt. John Hagan Cecil was born Nov. 14, 1843, to Matthew Joseph Matthew Cecil and Angeline M. (Hagan) Cecil.

He was baptized at St. Charles Church, on Christmas Eve, 1843 By Rev. Fr. P. Lebreton, godmother Elizabeth Hagan. D. Feb. 27, 1865, aged 21 years, three months, and 13 das.

Mother: Angelina M Hagan

Father J. J. Pike, for many years pastor at St Charles said, "He was killed by guards in trying to make his escape". Confederate soldier, 1861-1865.
