PURDY - A lifelong resident of the Purdy area, 74 year-old Brit Marbut, died at 11 : 05 pm Monday, at St Vincent's Hospital here after a long illness.
Survivors include his wife, Mayme, two sons Stanley, of San Antonio. Tex. and Doyle of Purdy; four daughtersMrs Betty Lou McQueen, of San Jose, Calif., Mrs Wilma Jane Schaeffer, of Great Falls, Mont., Mrs Rose Marie Terry of Raytown, and Mrs Mary Mackes of Monett; sisters Mrs Anna Mackes
Blankenship, Mrs Fula Hemphill, Mrs Lena Coones and Mrs Mortle Coffer all of Purdy; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2 p m Thursday at the Arnhart Baptist Church east of Purdy with the Revs Alvin Bennett and Willam Phillips officiating Burial will be in Arnhart Cemetery under the direction of Bennett Wormington of Monett.
