Goldie I. Shellenberger, 85, died February 17, 2002, at her home in Pratt.

She was born January 28, 1917, at Coats, the daughter of Virgil C. and Maud (Johnson) Staats. She was a homemaker.

In 1964, she married Henry a. Shellenberger in Colorado. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include: a son, Jim Baumgartner, Oklahoma; two daughters, Arlene Scherer, Pratt and Arlene Winnop, Kiowa; a brother, Wayne Staats, Syracuse; a sister, Velma McKown, Pratt, seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Edna Breckel, Helen Breazeale, and Alma Walker; a daughter, Deloris Sessions, and a brother, Lee Staats.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt, with Chaplain John Haven presiding. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.
