He was born Jan. 15, 1910 at Farmington to William J. and Effie Cowell Richardson. On June 29, 1929 he married Gladys Davis at Farmington.
He moved to Bonaparte from Farmington in 1959 and was manager of State Central Savings Bank, Bonaparte branch, until retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Bonaparte United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, the Commandery and the Lions Club.
Surving are his widow; three sons, Rolland of Burlington, Roger of San Antonio, Tex., and Brent of Stockport; one daughter, Mrs. Larry Dossett of Wapello; one brother, William Jr. of Richland, Wash.; two sisters, Gladys Page of Bonaparte and Edith Frosch of Beaver Dam, Wis.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The service was held today at 1:30 p.m. At the Bonaparte Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Scott Holmes officiating. Burial was in the Bonaparte Cemetery.
Masonic rites were held Sunday night at Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington.
