GRIEF OVER SON'S DEATH KILLS WOMAN
WEST MANCHESTER, OHIO - Another chapter in the tragedy of a recent railroad crossing accident at Eaton, in which a watchman was killed vainly trying to warn a motorist of an approaching train, was written here early Tuesday morning when the watchman's 91-year-old mother died of grief and shock.
Mrs. Belinda Templin, who was born near here nearly a century ago and who had lived here her entire life, attend the funeral of her son Monday, Oct. 7, but since that time had been confined to her home.
Her son, Harry D. Templin, 53 years old, had been watchman at the crossing in Eaton for many years. He was killed instantly and the motorist whose life he was trying to save also was fatally hurt.
Funeral services for Mrs. Templin will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the local Christian Church, with burial in the Twin Creek Chapel cemetery.
Survivors include five sons, George at home, Earl of West Manchester, Lester of New Paris, Webb of Piquor, and Roy of Tipp City; three daughters, Mrs. Opal Reid of Richmond, Mrs. Cora Sweitzer, and Mrs. Mary Marshall both of El Monte, Calif. Her husband died many years ago.
