He was born March 6, 1926, in Harrisburg, to Louie and Bertha McCluskey Stricklin. He married Emogene Duncan in Morganfield, Ky. She preceded him in death in Peoria on Nov. 12, 1984. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Louie and Charles.
Surviving are two daughters, Janice (Alan) Traenkenschuh of West Peoria and Patti (Michael) Wamboldt of Garner, N.C.; and one granddaughter, Emily Traenkenschuh of West Peoria.
Kenneth was a U.S. Army Veteran. He worked as a machinist at Caterpillar Inc. before retiring. He was a licensed minister and presided over both of his daughters' weddings. He was a member of Elmridge Baptist Church in East Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2008 at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2008, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton.
