DOROTHY (Dottie) JEAN GIEBNER
Dorothy (Dottie) Jean Giebner (nee Daisley), born Dec. 2, 1930, passed away peacefully Oct. 25, 2000, at Hospice Care Center in Copley.
Born and raised in Greenville, Pa., Dottie married the late Stuart Giebner on Feb. 24, 1951, and moved to Stow and then Hudson. She was a Sunday School teacher, a softball coach, and and a wrestling and Boy Scout troop mom. She was so many things to so many people, including a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. At home and as a loyal member of the WOTM she helped cheer on her beloved Cleveland Browns and Indians. (Go Omar!)
Preceded in death by her husband,. Stuart; parents, Robert and Cecelia Daisley; sisters, Barbara and Janet, and good friend, Roger Martin, Dottie is survived by her sons, David (Debbie) Giebner, Eddie (Anita) Giebner; daughters, Diane (Jeff) Miller, Melissa (Mark) Kennemuth; grandchildren, Amanda, Kyle, Alexandria, Stuart, Wendy, Ben, Ryan and Eddie; nephews, Jimmy Groover, Judd (Brenda) Judy, special cousin, Sandy (Bill) Soucy, and many other loving family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to her name to Hospice Care Center in Copley. A service will be held Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at 5 p.m. at Johson-Romito, a Golden Rule Funeral Home, 19 E. Main St. (on the square), Hudson, Ohio, 230-650-4181, where friends will be received Saturday, 3 p.m. until service time at 5 p.m.
