Elizabeth Strecker Obituary

Elizabeth Ann Strecker went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2005. She, and her identical twin sister, were born and baptized on Sept. 6, 1920, at home in Jefferson City, Mo., to Myrtle and Charles Joyce. They later moved to Kansas City, Mo., which was her home, until she retired and moved, with her husband, to Billings.

Elizabeth was treasurer of the Kansas City Policemen's Credit Union and served as treasurer for her church, Our Savior Lutheran Church, for 10 years. She loved her work and the people she worked with. She also loved her family and friends, her caregiver, Rita Eldridge, creating a beautiful and comfortable home, gardening, animals (even spiders!) and was an awesome cook. She will be missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Sabelis of Buckley, Wash., and her two daughters, Catherine Schaeffer and Heather Joyce Charles, both of Billings.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, at Our Savior Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Last Chance Cat Sanctuary, Inc., 2113 Walter Road, Billings, MT 59105.

Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary has charge of arrangements.
