Floyd C. Sheridan, 84, 620 E. Market St., died Thursday evening, February 20, 1997, at Community Medical Center after an illness. His widow is the former Josephine Matyok. They celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary June 22.

Born in Waverly, he was a son of the late Frederick and Edna Mae Winters Sheridan. He lived in Scranton the last 14 years. Before that, he lived most of his life in Throop.

He worked for a few years at Squbb Laboratories in New Jersey. He retired after 35 years in the parts department at Roy Stauffer Chevrolet in Scranton. He was a musician for various area bands. He was a member of Providence United Presbyterian Church, Green Ridge.

Also surviving are a daughter, June Lynn, Dunmore; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Raymond, Peckville; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Emma Ball, and a brother, Harold.

The funeral will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home, 445 Sanderson St., Throop, by the Rev. Michael Hughes, Pastor of the Providence United Presbyterian Church. Interment, Scott Valley, Montdale.
