He was united in marriage to Miss Grace Buchanan January 11, 1906, to which union 7 children were born. His son Donald preceded him in death January 5, 1931. Also preceding him were four brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Watts' younger years were spent on the farm and later he went to work for the Chicago & Northwestern Railroad and continued this work until failing health caused him to retire seven years ago. He has been in very poor health for several years.
He was a very kind and affectionate husband and father, and will be greatly missed by his loved ones and all who knew him.
He leaves to mourn his sudden passing his wife, four daughters and two sons, namely: Lucy Loshonkohl, Hastings; Hulda Johnson, Holdrege; Beulah Craft, Edgar; Lela Sloan, Fremont; Squire Watts, Jr., Omaha; Fay Watts, Shelby, Nebr.; and eight grand children, four sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law, several nieces and nephews, and one sister-in-law.
The funeral services were held in Stockham Monday afternoon at 1:30. Rev. Clayton Templeton officiated and was assisted by Rev. Elsie Dankins. Rev. and Mrs. Herbert Roszhart sang Old Rugged Cross, and Rev. Roszhart sang Nearer My God To Thee, with Mrs. Ben Turner at the piano.
Burial was made in Davenport, Nebraska later in the afternoon.
