Mrs. Pearl E. Thomason Stewart, 72, of 102 E. 18th St., died this morning at Maury County Hospital following several week's illness.

The body is at Williams Funeral Home, where services will be in the chapel at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev. William Owens, pastor of Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery.

The Maury County native was a daughter of the late Luther and Emma Jones Thomason, and the widow of Dennis Stewart who died in 1966. She was a housewife and member of the Methodist Church.

Survivers include six daughters; Mrs. Ray (Christine) Goodson, Mrs. Johnny (Edna) Winn, Mrs. Samuel (Frances) Stewart, all of Columbia, Mrs. Witthorne (Dimple) Hickman and Mrs. William (Elizabeth) Kelley of Culleoka, and Mrs. Leon (Margaret) Slaughter, Dallas, Texas; a sister, Mrs. Clarence (Virginia) Davis, Mt. Pleasant; a brother, Houston Thomason, Columbia; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Two sons and a daughter preceded her in death.
