Shawnee resident Margaret (Marak) Gann died Sunday at a local hospital. She was 83.
She was born Sept. 22, 1916, in Meeker to Leo Marak and Mary Margaret (Engel) Marak.
She married Richard Coleman Gann Oct. 18, 1938, in Oklahoma City.
She graduated from Meeker High School. Following high school, she attended business school. She was a homemaker.
She was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Tulsa. She lived in Shawnee since 1976.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Richard C. Gann Jr. and Carol Gann, Oklahoma City; daughter, Jan Mayne, Shawnee; daughter-in-law, Kathy Gann, Wichita, Kan.; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Charles Dinger, Oklahoma City; sister, Rosemary Sams, Meeker; sisters-in-law, Vetah Chandler, Shawnee, and Jody Gann, Oklahoma City; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, and one son, Michael J. Gann.
Services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Meeker, with the Rev. Adrian Vorderlandwehr, O.S.B. Burial will be in Fairview Mausoleum under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel. A Rosary service will be 7 p.m. today at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.
Memorials may be made to St. Michael's Catholic Church of Meeker.
