Daryl B. Mick--Daryl Berton "Porky" Mick, 59, of Newton died of cancer Saturday at Americana Health Center in Waterloo. The body has been cremated. Burial of the Cremains will be at a later date in the Hewitt Cemetery in Reasnor.
Mr. Mick was born in rural Jasper County. He was a laborer and was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Surviving are a son, Michael, two daughters, Trudy Willey and Marcy Maples, and a step-daughter, Sue Hill, all of Des Moines; his mother, Ethel Wilson Spain of Newton; a brother, Dwight of Phoenix, Ariz., a sister Lyla Williams of Fairfax. five grandchildren; and a step-grandchild.
