J. J. Driskill, was a Tennessean, born in 1822, and was married to Miss M. K. Peevey, who was born in Green County, Mississippi, in 1830. J. J. Driskill was a farmer, following that calling in Tennessee and Missouri, and also in Texas, to which State he moved in 1858, settling in Hays County. He was the father of ten children, seven of whom were boys.
