Jimmy Luke Tootle, 79, died Monday March 4, 2024, at Cherry Meadows Hospice. He was born August 2, 1944, in Glenwood Georgia, son of the late Luke and Cora (Smith) Tootle. Jimmy met his future wife, Sherry (Polar) while they were both serving in the U.S. Army. They were married March 14, 1981.

Jimmy retired from the U.S. Army after proudly serving for over 20 years. He then settled in Neenah Wisconsin with his family, where he later retired from his job at American Can. Jimmy enjoyed fishing with his family, watching NASCAR, the Packers on Sundays and playing slot machines with his wife. Everyone in the family loved his BBQ ribs and grilling in general.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Sherry; his four children: daughter, Michelle (Nicholis) Granditzke; three sons: Scott (Dawn), Jason (Melissa), and Kyle (Tanna); nine grandchildren: Kristyn, Jordan, Taryn, Madeline, Mckenzie, Myles, Lillian, Dane, and Koen (Granditzke); five great-grandchildren: Rosalie, Scarlet, Avery, Ember, and Cash; brother, Randall (Mary); and sister, Barbara (Cheek) Tootle. Jimmy was further preceded in death by: Aunt Alene, three brothers in- law: Ray Cheek, Art and Allen Polar; grandson; Miguel; and nephew James.

A celebration of life for Jimmy will be held on Tuesday March 12, 2024, at WESTGOR FUNERAL HOME, Neenah, beginning at 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Eulogies will be read beginning at 1:30 PM. Full military honors will follow at Oakhill Cemetery, Neenah.

A special thanks to Kat, Jimmys' in home nurse, who was so helpful and kind to the family through their hard times. May you rest in peace. You will be dearly missed and never forgotten by all who loved you.
