Rachel Shultz
HURON - Rachel Shultz, 72, of Huron, died Wednesday morning, June 10, 1998, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Harley Middleton of Huron.
She will be cremated, and there will be no visitation. Her memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 15, at Apostolic Christian Fellowship Church of Huron, with Rev. James Huntley officiating.
A second memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, at Knollwood United Methodist Church in Rapid City, with Rev. Preston Brown officiating. Burial of her cremated remains will be Wednesday, June 17, at the Pine Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery at Rapid City.
Arrangements are under the direction of Kuhler Funeral Home in Huron.
Rachel was born on Aug. 22, 1925, at Parkston to Joseph and Christina (Brech) Haven. She grew up at Parkston and graduated from high school there. On June 17, 1946, she married Delton Shultz in Sioux Falls.
Following their marriage, they lived in Alexandria, Mitchell, and then Rapid City. She moved to Huron to live with her daughter in the spring of 1997.
Rachel was a member of the Knollwood Heights United Methodist Church in Rapid City and the Apostolic Christian Fellowship of Huron.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Delton; and one brother, Alvin.
Survivors include her 3 children and their spouses; 10 grandchildren; and four greatgrandchildren.
