Bobby L. Asberry, 63, died Thursday, January 6, 1994, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after an extended illness. He was formerly from New York and had lived in Wren and Okolona area for the past 11 years. He was a Navy veteran with 23 years of service and a member of the VFW and the DAV.
Services were at 1:00 p.m. January 8 at the Okolona Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. H. V. Brown officiating. Burial was the East Chickasaw Memorial Garden.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Asberry of Okolona; one stepdaughter, Susan Ann Smithy of Shannon;one stepson, Steve Cummings of Shannon; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Dave Harris, David Harris, Kenny Smithy, Bobby Horn, Danny Horn, and John Addington.
