Iva Marie Lawrence Castleman Lance, 91, passed away Saturday, April 12th, 2014 in McAlester, OK
Iva was born in Crum Creek, OK on October 14, 1922, a daughter of the late George and Claria (Adkins) Lawrence.
Iva married Oren Castleman in Hugo, OK and while living in Arizona, Oren passed away. She then moved back to Clayton, OK, where she met and married Dewitt Lance. Dewitt passed away in 1997.
Iva worked for Tecia and Johnny Blair, at the Tourist Cafe in Clayton, for over 20 years. she then worked for the Talihina Veterans Center, as a Dietician until she retired. Iva was a charted (sic) member of the Eastern Star.
Iva loved her flowers and worked in her yard in which she took pride in.. Iva moved to Walnut Grove Living Center in McAlester, where she made many friends and will be missed by them all.
She is survived by her 3 Sons: John and Suzanne Lance, of Clayton; Joe and Billie Jo Castleman, of Clayton; Larry Castleman of Houston, TX; and her Sister Jimmie Sue Jackson, of Clayton.
Preceded in death by: Husband Oren Castleman, Husband Dewitt Lance, Son Melton Castleman, her Parents, 2 Brothers and 2 Sisters.
