Perry Basil Rogers, age 84, of Atlanta, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Tucker First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Jimmy Moor officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.
A native of Crossville, AL., Mr. Rogers received his masters in Biostatistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and then worked as a Health Statistician for the Public Health Service of the Federal Government. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Tucker First United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday school. He volunteered at the UMC Children's Home for 20 years and served on the board of the Cofer home for disabled adults and on the board of the Hub Family Counseling Center. Mr. Rogers also served with the Atlanta Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
