Ann Ruth (Sue) Davenport 82 of Midland Texas passed away November 17th 2023.

Born August 2nd 1941 in Chewela Washington to Samuel & Ruth Luttrell.

Growing up she enjoyed spending time with her cousins at her Grandparents farm in Spokane Washington. She loved caring for the farm animals, especially her horse Daisy.

She graduated from Coulee City High School in 1959, and she attended Nursing School in Spokane Washington.

Sue met Joe, the love of her life, and they married July 15th 1961 in Ephrata Washington. They were happily married for 59 years, until Joe passed away in 2020.

The couple moved to Kennewick Washington after their marriage, and started their family raising 4 children.

In 1982 the couple moved to Midland Texas. Sue worked with her husband for many years growing Davenport General Contracting. She spent over 25 years managing new home builders.

She enjoyed Bingo, going to Casinos, watching NASCAR, and cheering for the Seattle Seahawks. When it came to NASCAR, you should always be cautious when disturbing her!! Car racing has always been a passion of her and her husbands since they were young. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Sue is survived by her brothers, Johnny Luttrell and Phillip Holmes of Washington State.

Her children, Sandra Edwards, Southlake Tx, JoAnne & Miguel Cano, Skokie Illinois, Cynthia & Kurt Light, Midland TX and Steve Davenport, Midland TX. 15 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband Joe Davenport, her father Samuel Luttrell, her mother and step father Bud and Ruth Luttrell Holmes, and her brother Ricky Luttrell.

Memorial service will be held Wednesday November 22nd 1:00 PM at Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 4616 N Big Spring Street Midland TX.
