H.P. a guy with a funny name. When his mother was pregnant with him there were two Methodist Preachers in the Middle East called Hubert and Percy Knickerbocker and the family followed their exploits in the paper. One of the kids suggested they name the baby after the preachers.

He was Born in Brownwood, Texas but for the most part grew up in Dallas. He married Eva Mae Corey on 7/16/32. They had Philip, Betty Jo, Baby Vaughan (stillborn) Alfred, Glenda and Vincent.

He worked many different jobs until he was able to get hired at the post office. Which he worked there until retirement. He took the city bus in Dallas to deliver his mail and walked 16 miles a day. Many believe that help extend his life since he was a Type 2 Diabedic since his early 30's.
He love the country and especially the Wills Point area of Texas which the love was transferred to his son Alfred and grandson Wayne Vaughan and both live in the Wills Point areas. Diabeties finally lead to his death, but before he died he gave his life to Jesus and we hope to see him again some day.
