Ida Chagall was the only child of renowned Russian-French artist Marc Chagall and Bella Rosenfeld. In the Second World War, she was an active member of the French Resistance who fought against Nazi-occupied France, smuggling her father's artwork out of Europe. Following the war, she continued to be an emblem of cultural engagement, passionately preserving and promoting her father's art and legacy worldwide.
