Phyllis McEntee Hazel Trask lived all of her life in Wilmington, NC. She was the widow of Allen Nelson Trask Sr. A Graduate of New Hanover High School and St. Francis Xavier Infirmary School of Nursing in Charleston, SC, she did her postgraduate work in obstetrics and gynecology at Margaret Haag Hospital in Jersey City, NJ. Most of her working career was spent on the obstetrical floor of James Walker Hospital. A member of the Red Cross, she was a volunteer during many Wilmington disasters, most notably Hurricane Hazel and the Wilmington Air Show tragedy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Phyllis McEntee; a brother, Arthur Shannon McEntee; and a husband, Richard E. Hazel, who passed away in 1952. She died peacefully at her home.
