Rose Marie Werner of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, at the age of 79.


She was born on August 30, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, where she grew up. She worked as a computer operator at Motorola.


She was actively involved in Bible Study, Arizona Archaeological Site Steward, AZ Coast Guard Auxiliary, Power Squadron, Channel 8 volunteer, and hiking, including several trips to the Grand Canyon.


Rose is preceded in death by Margaret Swafford, mother; Emery Sakara, father; John Popovich, son; and James Sakara, brother.


Rose is survived by Ronald Werner-husband; Anthony and Laura Popovich-son & daughter-in-law; Brendon, Jacob Popovich, and Josh Heimbuck-grandsons; Bobbie Bennett-sister; Jim and Andrea Sakara-brother and sister-in-law; Paul Sakara-brother; other family members: Melanie Werner, Rebecca, and Josh Heimbuck.


Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Desert View Bible Church on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 10 AM.
