She was raised in Bloomington, Utah and went to school in nearby St. George. In order to get to school, she got there by carriage or by horseback with 2 or 3 other children. As a young woman, she fondly recalled being asked to ride in the first batrnstorming bi-plane that came to St. George. She worked in the Washington County Library for many years. She and her husband loved Pine Valley and considered it their home. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had a strong testimony and believed in the power of prayer.
She is survived by her only son , Keith and Bonnie Bracken and one daughter Lori and Jeff Jennings , all of St. George.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Bracken and the very untimely death of her daughter Bonnie and son-in-law Roger Thiriot and their three infant sons.
