Winslow Edwin "Ed" Markham passed away on October 9, 2023 at St. Luke's, Nampa, Idaho, after an illness that began in July. Ed was born to Laura (Hutchison) Markham and Laurence Markham on June 3, 1942, in La Grande, Oregon. A Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 2:00pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center in La Grande.

Ed was raised in a variety of locations, but spent most of his childhood in Union County. At the age of 17 he joined the Navy and served for 4 years. He married Wilma (Wright) Markham on September 23, 1963. They had 3 children, Mike, Laura and Tim. They later divorced but remained close.

Ed worked for Boise Cascade both here in Union County and then at the corporate offices in Boise, Idaho. He ended his 34-year career with retirement in June of 2002 in order to spend more time doing the things he loved which included; hunting, fishing, golfing and spending time with family and friends.

Ed is survived by his children, Mike (Linda) Markham of Gaston, OR, Laura (Chris) Wagner of Imbler, OR and Tim (Cari) Markham of La Grande Oregon, 17 Grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren. His siblings, Larry (Rebecca) Markham, Babs Sykes, Mary Beth (Bill) Jederberg, Ginger (Grant) Jederberg, and Debbie (Alan) Strong. As well as numerous other family members and friends.

Ed was proceeded in death by his parents, Wilma Markham, and his brother-in-law Chip Sykes.
